California Regions explainer
NPDL California regions (see I.12) correspond to the four CHSSA areas.
CA1, shown in yellow, includes all schools located in the Coast Forensic League or the Golden Gate Speech Association. It is composed on the coastal counties in Northern California.
CA2, shown in gray, includes all the schools located in the Yosemite Forensic League, Southern Valley Forensics League (both the Kern region and the Redwood region), or Capitol Valley Forensics League. It is composed on the inland counties in Northern California.
CA3, shown in red, includes all the schools located in the Tri-Valley Forensics League, Western Bay Forensic League, and Southern California Debate League. It is composed of the San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties, as well as most of the Los Angeles county.
CA4, shown in blue, includes all the schools located in the Citrus Belt Speech Region, Orange County Speech League, and San Diego Imperial Valley Speech League. It is composed of the San Diego, San Bernadino, Riverside, Imperial, and Orange counties. It also includes the Bonita, Claremont, and Pomona school districts in Los Angeles county.
